Spring Workshop - April 2009

Creative Writing: The Craft and the Business
with Andrew Todhunter

April 25 & 26, 2009

A two-day, twelve-hour intensive writers’ workshop at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts in Sebastopol, California.

Open to all students of writing, Creative Writing: The Craft and the Business concentrates on developing the fundamental elements of strong, clear prose, as well as providing guidance on the professional challenges of writing as a profession.

Day One focuses on writing craft in fiction and creative non-fiction, while Day Two concentrates on the business of writing, including finding an agent, working with editors and paths to publication.

While suitable for beginning writers, the workshop also serves experienced authors who wish to review the stylistic and structural principals at the heart of their craft and gain fresh insights into writing as a profession. The class format is highly interactive and supportive, and includes lecture, written exercises, and extensive Q & A.
